Founded by Kat Hantas, Nicole Hantas-Emanuel (her sister), and her best friend Sarika Singh, 21 Seeds freshly infused tequila made its debut just 2 years ago. The tequila brand features three flavors –Grapefruit-Hibiscus, Cucumber Jalapeno, and Valencia Orange – and it’s distributed in California, New Jersey, and New York, plus a few other places where people have specifically looked for it. In the near future the three entrepreneurs want to expand the brand to Texas, Arizona, Hawaii, and Florida.
The concept was made for women and it immediately worked because it is made by women who recognize what other women want to drink.
The whole idea for the brand came from Kat Hantas’s personal infusions of tequila.
Kat Hantas had just had her second child when she began experiencing night sweats. She was too young to have premenstrual effects so the doctor told her to move away from fermented spirits to distilled, saying that should take care of that. So, the night sweats were gone, but what was she going to drink? The answer was Tequila Blanco infusion with flavors she liked.
